The circumferential legend in Gothic uncial characters reads +MOnETA⁑ nOVA⁑ LVCEnBVRGENSIS, identifying this as the new coinage of Luxembourg. The overall design reflects the Burgundian Gothic aesthetic characteristic of Philip the Good's monetary issues. |
