Surrounding the central device is a circular marginal legend in Asomtavruli script, reading the Trinitarian confession of faith. The inscription runs along the inner edge of the flan, partially visible depending on strike and flan completeness. The overall design reflects the deeply Christian character of the medieval Georgian monarchy, combining dynastic symbolism with devotional epigraphy.
