| Beschrijving keerzijde | The Portuguese royal arms displayed as an ornate crowned shield at centre, featuring the traditional quinas (five escutcheons arranged in a cross) upon a field of castles, all within an elaborate baroque cartouche with foliate and scrollwork flourishes extending to either side. The royal crown surmounts the shield, and the entire composition fills the coin's field without a surrounding legend, presenting a bold heraldic design characteristic of late Braganza coinage. |
