| Descrizione del dritto | Radiate bust of Domitian facing right, depicted with aegis or drapery at the shoulder, rendered in the imperial portrait style characteristic of the Flavian dynasty. The effigy displays the emperor's distinctive physiognomy with a broad forehead and strong features. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, running from the lower left to the upper right of the field. The radiate crown, composed of seven rays, identifies the denomination as a dupondius. The surface shows significant wear and patination consistent with circulation use. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse presents a detailed sacrificial scene in which Domitian is depicted standing left, patera in hand, performing a libation over a flaming altar. Behind him rises a hexastyle temple rendered in architectural perspective, its columns and pediment clearly delineated. Flanking the central composition are musicians — a tibicen (flute player) and a citharoedus (lyre player) — evoking the ceremonial pageantry of the Ludi Saeculares of AD 88. The senatorial mark of authority, S C (Senatus Consultum), appears prominently in the field. The surrounding legend records Domitian's fourteenth consulship and his role as organiser of the Secular Games. |
