The Boii were expelled from Bohemia by the Germanic Marcomanni around 50–60 BC, after which surviving groups dispersed into the Danube basin — the "Southern Slovakia and Northern Hungary" attribution reflects precisely this refugee population, minting in diminished but persistent tribal tradition.
