Obverse description Stylised bearded male head facing right, rendered in the La Tène Celtic artistic tradition with abstracted facial features. A laurel wreath, depicted descending downward, is flanked on either side by a border of pearl-strands. The head is positioned in the left field, with the wreath elements occupying the central and right portions of the die. The overall treatment reflects the characteristic degeneration of Hellenistic prototypes into Celtic abstract design.
