| Descrizione del dritto | Diademed and draped bust of Shapur I facing right, wearing a mural crown surmounted by a korymbos (hair globe) and lacking an ear flap. Triple pellets adorn each shoulder. The Pahlavi legend surrounding the effigy reads 'Mzdysn bgy šhpwhry MRK'n MRK' 'yr'n MNW ctry MN yzd'n' (Mazda-worshipping divine Shapur, King of Kings of Iran, whose lineage is from the gods). A secondary Pahlavi inscription 'nwr'zy' appears to the right of the bust and 'šhpwhry' to the left. |

The attendants face the altar in a posture of veneration, their figures rendered in the characteristic linear Sasanian style. A dotted border encircles the entire design. Pahlavi inscriptions appear in the field to either side of the central group. |
