Reverse description A stepped Zoroastrian fire altar with flames rising from the top occupies the center of the field, flanked symmetrically by two standing royal attendants, each wearing a mural crown. The attendants face the altar in a posture of veneration, their figures rendered in the characteristic linear Sasanian style. A dotted border encircles the entire design. Pahlavi inscriptions appear in the field to either side of the central group.
