He is draped in a torque-adorned garment visible at the lower neck, with beaded or dotted detailing along the neckline. The portrait is executed in a bold, slightly stylized Hellenistic tradition, with strong facial features and a pronounced eye. A faint border of dots or dashes frames the coin's edge. |

The archer-king type reverse depicts Orodes II seated to the right on a throne, holding a bow in his extended right hand, in the traditional Arsacid dynastic pose. The field surrounding the central figure is densely filled with a continuous Greek legend arranged in multiple lines and around the periphery, typical of Sellwood type 46 issues. The inscription identifies the king with his royal titles in Greek. The engraving is characteristic of the later Parthian style, with a compact, somewhat schematic rendering of the seated figure. The overall design follows the established Arsacid drachm reverse convention. |
