| Obverse description | Bust of Orodes II facing left, depicted with a long, elaborately waved and layered beard rendered in fine parallel curls, and similarly styled hair falling in tiered waves to the nape of the neck. The king wears a diadem tied at the rear, with a crescent and star emblem visible above the forehead, characteristic of Parthian royal iconography. He is draped in a torque-adorned garment visible at the lower neck, with beaded or dotted detailing along the neckline. The portrait is executed in a bold, slightly stylized Hellenistic tradition, with strong facial features and a pronounced eye. A faint border of dots or dashes frames the coin's edge. |
