A tamgha (dynastic symbol) appears in the field behind the bust. The surrounding legend is rendered in cursive pseudo-Greek script, reading 'SRIO SHAHO', a Bactrian royal title. The portrait shows typical late Hephthalite artistic conventions with simplified facial features and no headdress or diadem. The flan is irregular and slightly broader than the die, characteristic of hammered billon issues from the Bactrian mint. |

| Description du revers | Standard Sasanian-derived fire altar design occupying the central field, depicting a stepped altar with a stylized flame issuing from the top. Two attendants or guards stand flanking the altar, one on each side, rendered in a simplified and increasingly schematic manner consistent with late Hephthalite imitative coinage. The overall composition closely follows the Sasanian prototype but shows notable degeneration in the rendering of figures and altar detail. The image is visible though worn and partially obscured by patination and corrosion typical of billon alloy coinage from the Bactrian region. |
