| Description de l’avers | Radiate head of Helios facing three-quarters right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with wavy hair swept back beneath a crown of radiating rays. The facial features are finely modelled, displaying a youthful, idealized countenance with a straight nose, slightly parted lips, and a naturalistic ear visible beneath the flowing locks. The bold, high-relief portrait fills the flan, with no surrounding legend or border, characteristic of the Rhodian plintophoric series. |

| Description du revers | A fully opened rose with petals en face occupies the central field, flanked by a single budding stem and a curling tendril to the right — the civic emblem of Rhodes. To the left stands a kerykion (caduceus), the symbol of Hermes and of commercial authority. The magistrate's name ΚΑΛΛΙΞΕΙ appears above, with the ethnic abbreviation P O (for Ρόδιον, Rhodes) distributed in the field. The entire design is set within a shallow incuse square, a hallmark of the Rhodian plintophoric coinage of the late second and early first centuries BC. |
