The modeling of the facial features is accomplished with considerable naturalistic skill, conveying both the heroic vigor and the idealized youth associated with Alexander's royal iconography. A beaded border is visible along the coin's periphery. |

In the left field appears the mint control letter Κ, and beneath the throne a crescent symbol serves as an additional mint control mark identifying the Colophon issue. |
