Obverse description Baal of Gaziura enthroned left, torso facing, depicted in the Achaemenid Persian tradition; the deity extends his right hand holding a grape bunch, grain ear, and eagle, symbols of divine fertility and authority, while his left hand grasps a lotus-tipped scepter. A monogram appears in the left field, and the Aramaic inscription B'L GZYR, meaning 'Baal [of] Gaziura', is inscribed to the right. The style reflects the strong Persian artistic influence prevalent in Cappadokia during the late Achaemenid period.

Reverse description A griffin, rendered in dynamic relief characteristic of Achaemenid-influenced die-cutting, lunges left to attack a stag kneeling in submission before it. The griffin is depicted with outstretched wings and open jaws, its forelegs raking the stag's haunches in a predatory strike. A wreath appears above the scene in the upper field, framing the composition. The flan is irregular and slightly off-center, as is typical of hammered coinage of this period. The overall style closely parallels contemporaneous Persian-satrapal coinage of Asia Minor.
