The portrait is rendered in the Hellenistic tradition with fine die-engraving detail emphasizing the regal bearing of the sovereign. A bead-and-reel border encircles the entire obverse field, characteristic of the refined Baktrian mint output of the late second to early first century BC. |

The composition closely follows the enthroned Zeus type common to the Indo-Greek coinage tradition, rendered with exceptional scale and artistry befitting this rare and monumental denomination. The reverse legend in Greek characters names the king as Amyntas Nikator, the Victor, arranged in the field around the central divine figural group. |
