The coin is struck on an irregularly shaped hammered flan, and the legends show the characteristic bold relief of Lu'lu'id coinage. |

A dotted inner border separates the central inscription panel from the marginal legend. The hammered flan presents the typical irregular outline characteristic of medieval Islamic dirhams struck at Mosul. |
