| Descrizione del dritto | Central field occupied by multiple horizontal lines of Arabic Kufic-style inscription arranged within a plain inner circle, bearing the kalima (Islamic profession of faith) and the name of the Abbasid caliph. A secondary marginal legend in Arabic script encircles the field along the outer border, carrying additional religious or titular formulae. The overall design follows the classical Abbasid dirham type, with densely packed calligraphic text filling the flan. The coin is struck on an irregularly shaped hammered flan, and the legends show the characteristic bold relief of Lu'lu'id coinage. |
