| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field occupied by multiple horizontal lines of Arabic Kufic-style inscription arranged within a plain inner circle, bearing the kalima (Islamic profession of faith) and the name of the Abbasid caliph. A secondary marginal legend in Arabic script encircles the field along the outer border, carrying additional religious or titular formulae. The overall design follows the classical Abbasid dirham type, with densely packed calligraphic text filling the flan. The coin is struck on an irregularly shaped hammered flan, and the legends show the characteristic bold relief of Lu'lu'id coinage. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field divided into multiple horizontal registers of Arabic inscription in bold relief, containing the name and titles of the Lu'lu'id ruler Rukn al-Din Isma'il together with additional honorifics and the mint or date formula. The inscriptions are enclosed within a plain inner circle, itself surrounded by a marginal legend in Arabic script running continuously around the border. A dotted inner border separates the central inscription panel from the marginal legend. The hammered flan presents the typical irregular outline characteristic of medieval Islamic dirhams struck at Mosul. |
