Reverse description A stylized six-petalled rosette or star-flower occupies the central field, formed by radiating triangular petals meeting at a central point, with a single pellet positioned between each petal. The floral motif is enclosed within a concave hexagonal border, the inward-curving sides of which frame the design geometrically. The overall composition is purely ornamental and anepigraphic, executed in the hammered style characteristic of late 13th- to early 14th-century Golden Horde silver coinage from the Bulghar mint.
