The irregular flan edges are typical of hammered silver dirhams of the Chagatai Khanate period. The lettering is boldly struck, with some areas of weakness consistent with hand-struck medieval Islamic coinage. The overall design follows the epigraphic style standard to Khwarazmian mint issues of the late thirteenth century. |
