| Description de l’avers | Central field bears a multi-line Kufic Arabic religious inscription arranged in three to four horizontal lines within a plain inner circle, surrounded by a circular marginal legend in Kufic script. The marginal inscription is enclosed between two decorative dotted or beaded borders. The overall layout closely imitates the Samanid dirham prototype, with the field text presenting the shahada or a related Islamic declaration of faith. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edge, characteristic of Volga Bulgarian imitative coinage of the early 10th century. |

| Description du revers | Central field displays a multi-line Kufic Arabic inscription naming the Samanid amir Nasr II b. Ahmad, arranged in horizontal lines within a plain inner circle, closely following the Samanid prototype format. A pendant ornament or decorative motif appears above the central text. The field is framed by a circular marginal legend in Kufic script running between two beaded or dotted border rings. Below the central inscription, the mint name Samarqand and the date are indicated in accordance with Samanid dirham conventions. The irregular flan and somewhat crude execution betray the imitative nature of this Volga Bulgarian issue. |
