The flan is irregularly shaped with a ragged edge consistent with hand-cut hammered production. Marginal legend traces in Arabic script are partially visible around the periphery. The overall die workmanship reflects the schematic, non-figural aesthetic typical of mid-13th century Bulgar-region Jochid dirhams. |
