The type is anonymous, bearing no ruler's name or title, characteristic of early Golden Horde fractional silver coinage. The flan is irregularly shaped with a ragged edge consistent with hand-cut hammered production. Marginal legend traces in Arabic script are partially visible around the periphery. The overall die workmanship reflects the schematic, non-figural aesthetic typical of mid-13th century Bulgar-region Jochid dirhams. |

The inscription identifies the mint as Bilar (Bulgar region), rendered in a simplified, somewhat schematic die-cut style. Surrounding field areas are largely plain, with the legend occupying the majority of the die area. The reverse die is consistent with the anonymous series attributed to the Bilar mint during the reign of Möngke Khan and his immediate successors. |
