A continuous circular marginal legend in Kufic script runs between two concentric circles formed by a beaded or linear border, enclosing the entire composition. The coin bears no figural imagery, consistent with Umayyad Andalusian aniconic coinage practice. The overall style reflects the refined lapidary Kufic characteristic of the Madinat al-Zahra mint during the reign of 'Abd al-Rahman III. |
