Obverse description Within a beaded inner circle, a pattée cross with hollow arms, each arm terminating in three pellets, forming a total of twelve pellets arranged at the extremities. The cross occupies the central field and is rendered in a bold, primitive hammered style characteristic of medieval feudal coinage. A circular Latin legend runs between the inner beaded border and the toothed outer rim.
