| Opis rewersu | Flat field bearing a bold monogram composed of the letters R and F conjoined, with a central pellet, all executed in a hammered Carolingian hand. The monogram abbreviates REX FRANCORUM (King of the Franks), the standard royal title employed on Carolingian regal coinage. A horizontal bar surmounts the composition, and a partial beaded border frames the periphery of the irregular silver flan. The design is entirely typographic, with no figurative imagery, consistent with the aniconic tradition of early Frankish deniers.
