| 表面の説明 | Central field displays a bold cross pattée enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with a pellet placed in each of the four quadrants formed by the arms of the cross. Flanking the inner circle in the outer field are small symbolic devices, including annulets and a crescent, arranged at cardinal and intercardinal positions. The circumferential legend runs along the outer rim, separated from the central design by the beaded border. The overall design is characteristic of Ottonian royal coinage, struck in a broad, irregular flan typical of late tenth-century Rhenish-Westphalian workshop production. The coin is die-struck by hand, resulting in slight off-centering consistent with hammered medieval issues. |
