| Reverse description | As a bracteate, the reverse presents the incuse mirror image of the obverse type, showing the lion passant in concave intaglio relief, the mane lines and curled tail visible in reverse impression. The characteristic concentric rim rings of the bracteate flan are evident around the recessed field. The surface is plain with no additional inscriptions or secondary devices, the incuse impression being an inherent consequence of the single-die hammered bracteate striking method. |

Leszek the White's tenure as Duke of Kraków was repeatedly interrupted — he was expelled twice, in 1198 and again in 1211, by rival Piast claimants in the fratricidal fragmentation that followed Bolesław III's disastrous 1138 testament dividing Poland among his sons. Bracteates of this mint and reign are among the most thinly documented issues in Polish medieval numismatics; the Kopicki reference carries no assigned number, reflecting genuine cataloging gaps rather than modern oversight.
