The central field displays the Brunswick lion passant, rendered in a schematic Gothic style typical of late medieval Lower Saxon bracteate coinage. The lion is depicted facing left with pronounced pellet detailing along the body, set within a plain inner border. The surrounding flat rim shows the irregular edge characteristic of hand-hammered production. No legend is present on this type. |
