The Eravisci were a Celtic tribe settled in Pannonia along the Danube bend, in the region of modern Budapest. Their silver coinage closely imitated Roman Republican denarii — not as forgeries, but as a deliberate adoption of Roman monetary conventions by a tribe that maintained close trade and diplomatic ties with Rome well before formal provincial annexation of Pannonia around 9 AD.
