| Obverse description | Highly stylised and schematically rendered effigy of a standing king facing right, occupying the central field, the figure reduced to an abstract geometric form through successive generations of die-copying. Subsidiary decorative elements and pellets are distributed around the royal effigy in the field. A border of pellets and crescent-like motifs encircles the design, characteristic of the late debased Kidarite series. Brahmi legend reading 'Nagari bhagava' (a river deity name) appears around the figure. |
