Reverse description Central field features an elaborate Gothic cross with fleurs-de-lis at each terminal, set within a four-lobed quadrilobe or quatrefoil frame adorned with trefoil foliage and decorative Gothic tracery. A small diamond-shaped central motif punctuates the crossing of the arms. The design, rendered in bold high relief, reflects the refined late Gothic aesthetic characteristic of Mosan goldsmithing. A circular Latin legend in Gothic lettering encircles the entire design between an inner beaded border and the outer raised rim, bearing the traditional Christological acclamation.
