The name and title of the Abbasid caliph al-Qadir Billah appear in the legend surrounding the central inscription. An outer marginal band, separated by a linear border, carries additional Arabic legends, the whole enclosed within a beaded outer rim typical of Buyid-era broad dirhams. The strike is irregular and slightly off-center, consistent with hand-hammered production at provincial mints. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Central field displays the titulature of the Rawwadid ruler Muhammad ibn al-Husayn in multiple horizontal lines of Arabic Kufic script, arranged within a plain inner circle. A surrounding marginal legend carries a quotation from the Quran, Surah XXX (Al-Rum), verses 3-4, affirming divine authority. An outer band separated by a linear border bears additional inscriptions, enclosed within a beaded rim. The flan is broad and irregular in outline, with moderate surface wear and encrustation consistent with extended circulation. The die work reflects the epigraphic style characteristic of late 4th–early 5th century AH provincial Islamic coinage. |
