| Obverse description | Central field occupied by the Shahada (Islamic profession of faith, the Kalima) arranged in multiple horizontal lines within a plain inner circle. The name and title of the Abbasid caliph al-Qadir Billah appear in the legend surrounding the central inscription. An outer marginal band, separated by a linear border, carries additional Arabic legends, the whole enclosed within a beaded outer rim typical of Buyid-era broad dirhams. The strike is irregular and slightly off-center, consistent with hand-hammered production at provincial mints. |
