| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a quartered heraldic shield surmounted by a crown, displaying the arms of the Dauphiné — four quarters each charged with three fleurs-de-lis arranged in the French manner — set within a beaded inner circle. The shield is of the pointed Gothic type characteristic of mid-15th-century French feudal coinage. The circumferential Latin legend, interrupted by a mullet stop, reads + LVDOVICUS *DALPh[ ]VS*VIE, identifying Louis as Dauphin of Viennois. The coin exhibits the irregular flan shape and uneven strike relief typical of hammered billon production of the period. |

| Reverse description | Central field features a long cross pattée whose four arms extend to the beaded inner circle, dividing the field into four quarters each containing a crowned fleur-de-lis motif rendered in Gothic relief. The cross serves both as a decorative and devotional element, consistent with Dauphinal billon coinage of the mid-15th century. The circumferential Latin legend + SIT NOMEN DNI BENEDICT encircles the design, invoking a biblical benediction. Letter forms are Gothic in character, with stops separating the legend. The overall strike is typical of hammered production, with some weakness at the margins due to the irregular flan. |
