The figure is draped and rendered with fine detail in the drapery folds, consistent with late Republican die-cutting style. The legend L • REGVLVS IIII • VIR • A • P • F is distributed around the field, naming Lucius Livineius Regulus as one of the quattuorviri auro argento aere flando feriundo, the magistrates responsible for the striking of coinage.
