| 背面描述 | A tall Apolline tripod cauldron, shown in frontal view with three legs resting on a base, occupies the centre of the field in bold, well-executed relief. To the lower left stands a sacrificial axe (securis) and to the lower right a simpulum (libation ladle), both rendered as priestly implements associated with Roman religious ceremony. The circular legend Q·CAEPIO·BRVTVS·PRO·COS runs around the upper and lateral field, naming the proconsul Quintus Caepio Brutus as the issuing commander. The design is enclosed within a border of evenly spaced beaded dots, and the field is otherwise plain. |
