| 表面の説明 | Bare-headed and veiled bust of Libertas facing right, her hair bound beneath a flowing veil and adorned with a wreath of laurel at the brow, rendered in high relief with finely modelled facial features characteristic of late Republican die-cutting. The legend is divided on either side of the effigy, reading L·SESTI to the right and PRO·Q to the left, identifying the issuing magistrate Lucius Sestius in his capacity as proquaestor. The field is plain and the design is contained within a neat border of beaded dots. |

| 裏面の説明 | A tall Apolline tripod cauldron, shown in frontal view with three legs resting on a base, occupies the centre of the field in bold, well-executed relief. To the lower left stands a sacrificial axe (securis) and to the lower right a simpulum (libation ladle), both rendered as priestly implements associated with Roman religious ceremony. The circular legend Q·CAEPIO·BRVTVS·PRO·COS runs around the upper and lateral field, naming the proconsul Quintus Caepio Brutus as the issuing commander. The design is enclosed within a border of evenly spaced beaded dots, and the field is otherwise plain. |
