The altar face is decorated with a panelled door rendered with four compartments, flanked by pilasters or column details on either side, evoking a sacral monument dedicated to the goddess Salus. The senatorial authorisation mark S C (Senatus Consultum) is prominently displayed in large letters in the left and right fields respectively. The reverse legend arcs across the upper and lower periphery of the coin, framing the central architectural motif. |
