Reverse description Hammered silver flan of irregular round form bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription in raised calligraphic script, divided by a prominent horizontal line bisecting the field. The upper portion of the field contains the pious invocation 'Nasruhu Azze' (May he be victorious), while the lower portion records the mint name (partially legible or variable by issue) and the AH date 918 (1512/1513 CE). The inscription is rendered in bold Ottoman calligraphic style consistent with the reign of Selim I. No decorative elements or border are present. The flat, irregular flan and variable strike quality are characteristic of hammered Ottoman akçe production of this period.
