The bust is depicted with careful attention to the decorative elements of the armor, consistent with the elaborate provincial die-cutting tradition of Asia Minor. The encircling obverse legend identifies the emperor in full titulature in Greek characters. |

| Description du revers | Heracles stands facing right in a relaxed contrapposto pose, his right arm resting upon his club, his left arm akimbo at the hip, with the Nemean lion skin draped over his left shoulder. Before him, an eagle perches upon a rock, a motif associated with divine favor and the Pergamene tradition. At his feet, the infant Telephus nurses from a doe, referencing the foundational myth of Telephus, legendary ancestor of the Mysian city of Germe, and closely tied to the Pergamene royal house. The reverse legend, arranged in the field, records the name of the first archon Aurelius Naevianus and the ethnic designation of the Germenians. |
