| 背面描述 | Homonoïa (concord) type depicting, at left, the hero Lakedaimonios standing right, clad in military dress and holding a shield and spear; at right, the turreted goddess Cybele seated left, holding a patera in her extended hand and resting her opposite arm upon a tympanum. The two figures are joined in a dextrarum iunctio (handclasp), symbolising the civic and religious bond between Lakedaimon (Sparta) and Smyrna. The composition is framed by the magistrate's name and civic ethnic in the surrounding legend, following standard homonoia reverse types issued by Smyrna during the reign of Commodus. The reverse exemplifies the high-quality die-engraving associated with the Smyrnaean mint in the late Antonine period. |
