| Descrição do anverso | Laureate bust of Commodus with long beard, draped in cuirass and paludamentum, facing right and presented from behind, lending a distinctive three-quarter rear perspective. The imperial effigy conveys the mature military character of the emperor as adopted in his later coinage. The obverse legend, arranged in the surrounding field, identifies the emperor by his full titulature. The execution reflects the provincial die-cutting tradition of Ionian Smyrna, with bold relief typical of large-module civic bronzes of the Antonine period. |

| Descrição do reverso | Homonoïa (concord) type depicting, at left, the hero Lakedaimonios standing right, clad in military dress and holding a shield and spear; at right, the turreted goddess Cybele seated left, holding a patera in her extended hand and resting her opposite arm upon a tympanum. The two figures are joined in a dextrarum iunctio (handclasp), symbolising the civic and religious bond between Lakedaimon (Sparta) and Smyrna. The composition is framed by the magistrate's name and civic ethnic in the surrounding legend, following standard homonoia reverse types issued by Smyrna during the reign of Commodus. The reverse exemplifies the high-quality die-engraving associated with the Smyrnaean mint in the late Antonine period. |
