| Obverse description | Bare head of Emperor Antoninus Pius facing left, rendered in the restrained classical style characteristic of Alexandrian provincial coinage. The portrait displays the emperor's distinctive features with short hair and beard. The Greek imperial titulature legend encircles the effigy along the coin's periphery. The flan is broad and irregular, typical of Alexandrian bronze issues of the period. |

| Reverse description | The sacred boat (baris) of Sarapis depicted in profile, carrying three syncretic deities seated and standing aboard an oared vessel. Sarapis is enthroned at centre facing left, holding a long sceptre, with Cerberus at his feet; to the left, veiled Demeter stands facing right, holding a torch; to the right, Tyche stands holding a rudder and cornucopia. All three figures wear the kalathos (modius) headdress, emphasising their divine syncretism within the Alexandrian religious milieu. The regnal date in the left field identifies this issue as belonging to the second year of Antoninus Pius's reign. |
