| Descripción del reverso | Demeter standing facing left in full figure, draped in a long chiton and himation, her weight borne on her left leg in a relaxed contrapposto stance. In her outstretched right hand she holds ears of grain (corn-ears), the primary symbol of her domain over agriculture and the harvest. Her left hand holds a tall, long torch, the attribute associated with her search for Persephone. The Greek civic legend naming the local strategos encircles the reverse field, attesting to the authority of the magistrate Tiberios Klaudios Hagnias under whose supervision the coin was struck at Cyzicus. |
