| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gallienus facing right, rendered in three-quarter rear view, a presentation type characteristic of later Greek Imperial coinage. The imperial effigy displays paludamentum folds over the cuirass, with the laureate wreath clearly articulated. A Greek legend encircles the bust within a dotted border, naming the emperor in full titulature. The flan is irregular and the surface bears a heavy green patina with areas of red earthen deposit. The die work reflects provincial craftsmanship of mid-third-century Asia Minor. |
