The reverse legend is divided, with the mint and civic title abbreviation running along the sides and the regnal year in Greek numerals (Γ = year 3, corresponding to 223-224 AD) inscribed in the lower exergual area. The entire composition is characteristic of the prolific Caesarean civic bronze coinage struck under the Severan dynasty. |
