| Description du revers | The sacred Mount Argaeus depicted in three-quarter view, shown as a conical peak surmounted by a radiate or flaming summit, resting on a base or altar; a six-pointed star appears to the left in the field and a crescent to the right, both common astral symbols associated with this type. The reverse legend is divided, with the mint and civic title abbreviation running along the sides and the regnal year in Greek numerals (Γ = year 3, corresponding to 223-224 AD) inscribed in the lower exergual area. The entire composition is characteristic of the prolific Caesarean civic bronze coinage struck under the Severan dynasty. |
