| 正面铭文 | ΝΕΡΩΝΟΝΙΚΟΠΟΛΙΣ Η ΠΡΟΣ ΑΚΤ |
| 背面描述 | A galley depicted in profile moving to the right, with oars extending below the hull and a raised stern post, rendered in the provincial hammered style characteristic of Epirote civic bronzes. The image evokes the naval associations of Nicopolis, founded by Augustus to commemorate the Battle of Actium. A partial Greek legend surrounds the field referencing the epiphany of Nero as Sebastos. The coin displays characteristic green patination and an irregular flan edge consistent with hand-hammered provincial production. |

The legend fragment ΕΠΙΦΑΝΕΙΑ ΝΕΡΩΝΟϹ ϹΕΒ[ ] invokes Nero's divine manifestation — epiphaneia being the term applied to rulers whose presence was understood as a godlike appearance among mortals. Nicopolis ad Istrum aside, the Achaean Nicopolis, founded by Augustus to commemorate Actium, had particular reason to flatter the imperial house; its civic identity was inseparable from Julio-Claudian patronage. Provincial bronzes of Nero from Greek cities often intensified honorific language precisely because eastern civic elites were practicing a political vocabulary Rome had not yet fully standardized in the west.
