Beschrijving voorzijde Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Valerian I facing right, depicted in three-quarter view from the front, with the radiate crown conveying imperial solar iconography. The effigy displays characteristic mid-third-century provincial portraiture, with paludamentum fastened at the shoulder and scale armour visible on the cuirass. A Greek legend encircles the bust in the field, identifying the emperor by his full titulature.

Beschrijving keerzijde Tyche, the personification of Fortune and civic deity of Nicaea, stands facing left in full figure, draped in a long chiton and himation. In her right hand she holds a ship's rudder resting on the ground, symbolising guidance and destiny, while her left arm cradles a cornucopia overflowing with fruits, representing abundance and prosperity. The figure is rendered in the conventional Hellenistic tradition common to Bithynian provincial coinage of the mid-third century. The ethnic legend ΝΙΚΑΙΕΩΝ is inscribed in the field, asserting the civic identity of the issuing authority.
